You may be able to obtain an immediate answer to your enquiry by visiting the family section of adviceguide the Citizens Advice Bureaux Services online service that provides practical, up-to-date independent information on your rights

You may be able to obtain advice from a solicitor. If you qualify for legal aid you may be able to get a free appointment with a solicitor. You can obtain details of local solicitors from the CLA Website.

The information that you send will be stored on a confidential case record. We will use the information to decide how best we can help you. We will either send you information, email advice to you, arrange a telephone call back or an appointment with a volunteer adviser. We may be able to arrange an appointment for you with a local solicitor. If you are legally aidable the appointment will be free, if you are not legally aidable, the appointment will cost £75.00. The appointments will be with WH Matthews or CRM Law. You should be entitled to legal aid if you receive Income Support, Income Based Jobseekers Allowance or the guarantee credit of Pension Credit. You may also be entitled to legal aid if you are on low income.
