This job involves
- Interviewing the public on the telephone and making a decision with help from the supervisor as to how the client can be helped most appropriately
- Recording the interview
- Can be combined with other roles
Qualities you will need:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn some simple software packages
Training and support:
- Training will be in house
- Support will always be available

What happens next?
We will arrange an informal meeting in the bureau where you will have the opportunity to meet other volunteers. If you decide to volunteer with us, we will arrange a simple assessment of literacy skills and give you printed information about our service. We will arrange a simple interview so that we can be sure that you understand our principles such as confidentiality and independence etc.
