Volunteering

Consumer AdviceVolunteers are at the heart of Sutton Borough CABx Service. We usually have approximately 50 volunteers in our service. Our volunteers range in age from teenagers to over 80. We want our volunteers to reflect the local community. Our volunteers therefore cover a range of ethnic origins, gender, sexuality, religion and disability. Some volunteers have been with us for in excess of 20 years and other volunteers are only with us for a few months to gain experience to move into paid work.

We offer various roles in a stimulating working environment with the satisfaction of making a real difference to the community - we have never heard a CAB volunteer complain of boredom! We will shortly be offering accreditated awards for our short training courses. We always have opportunities for volunteering - we have a variety of roles including those below. However, if you have other ideas about how you can contribute to our service, we would like to hear from you.
